I have been on the “abs diet” for two years and love it! Although very happy with the program I thought this would help me kick it up a notch. I read Muscle Chow last night and again this morning. I am disappointed that there is not a daily diet for each segment discussed (only ripped is given). I would have also liked a weekly shopping list. The book could have been organized a lot better. I would have ditched the “better homes and garden” food pics for a more specfic plan. A list in one place of all the supplements to take each day and what time. Let face it, someone who buys this book is in shape, works 40-60 hrs a week, works out and plays sports. We have one day to shop for food- make it easy on us. OK saying all this- I like the reciepes- i will set up my own schedule- and make it happen……

Bottom line: not the quality of book that I have come to expect of a Men’s Health endorsed author. The glossy, high production photos of dishes are unnecessary and the only useful info (phasing a plan, what are the basic foods you should store) could fit in to a magazine article. I recommend that instead of buying this book you just search the Men’s Health website for recipe ideas and training/diet articles. That is all

If you’re serious about the business at hand- getting into shape and getting stronger this book provides excellent information. Understanding without application is fruitless- Don’t ya know?

I love the recipes in this book. Lots of ideas, easy to prep meals, but tons of flavor and variety.
