I found this book of limited use because anyone dealing with prescribed medications in the mental health field is also usually dealing with someone taking other medications- for pain, sleep, GI distress, etc. So having a book on only mental health medications has not been that helpful to me. It is worth getting a more comprehensive book.

This is compact, accurate and simple to reference. The various chapters and tables integrate well with other non-psychiatric medications. If they want to make it better, develop a downloadable version for my Palm Smartphone that is upgradeable when new information comes out.

PDR Drug Guide for Mental Health Professionals

This is a smaller version of the Physician PDR specifically for Mental Health practicianers. It is up to date, easy to use and is the first source I use regarding medication. I order one every year…every year more psychotrophic medications become available.
