The machines works fine and very convenient, but I would like to see smaller sizes of food. The smallest size this machine has is a cup, which for our cat (which is in a diet) is a bit too much.
Quarter of a cup would be nice...

This product is a COMPLETE waste of money. To suggest that this has anything to do with portion control for your pet is to take you for a sucker and take your hard earned cash. LeBistro is as ineffective in that regard as any non-powered food tower which you can pick up for 1/4 the price. I followed all of the instructions, switched foods to the recommended sizes, and it still delivers too much food in quantities much greater than the settings which you enter. I'm going back to feeding my cat the old fashioned way, and will go back to food towers when I travel. If I could get my money back on this, I'd demand double.

Bought it, received it, put in the batteries (not included) AND it didn't work. The middle battery fell out. We looked for an external adaptor; it didn't work. I still have it b/c I haven't had time to return it. Miserable failure!!!

I bought this item to automatically feed our barn cat while we were away on vacation. Fortunately, I tested it for a week prior to our leaving and found it would not do the job for me. The problem was the paddle wheel that is at the heart of the food dispensing mechanism is made out of plastic. As I suspect is the case for most barns, ours is constanly visited by mice, chipmunks, etc. The critters would crawl up the dispensing chute and nibble at the plastic paddles to get at the food stash, reducing the paddle mechanism to a paddle-less hub - at which point the food just tumbled out and presented a feast for the critters, which was quickly gobbled up by them. To work in this environment, it would have needed a secure nibble-proof full-closing door. Fortunately, I was able to get a neighbor to feed my cat daily while I was away.

I paid all that money for it and I got a box full of cardboard and other packing supplies, No Feeder. I was really interested in a item that my cat wouldn't figure out how to get into in 5 seconds. She's a smart cat and this was unusual compared to the other feeders I tried. I liked how the one person even put a little cheat sheet to show how it would work. After getting my money back from Amazon I went and searched for a product like that. I found one and I'm happy with it and it's been over a week and the cat hasn't even attempted to play with it, or get into it where she shouldn't. Makes me wonder if I can ever trust Amazon in the future. Business transactions should be business like and professional. This wasn't.
