The book was delivered in a short period of time, in a great condition. Again, I had a great experience by shopping through Amazon.

This book is terrible. It cites wikipedia as a source. The author goes off on tangents telling the reader about her childhood. The different psychological aspects are oversimplified and outdated. Sorry, but direct Freudianism is dead. Unless, oh wait, your a nursing student. This outdated crap must be your forte. Every attempt at explaining a drug simply says: This drugs action is very complicated and not fully understood. Often times the action of the drug is perfectly understood, just not by the author. Just read your pharmacology book.
Books like this are an insult. People need to either stop claiming that nursing is a profession, or start having higher expectations. The only reason you could have been assigned this book is because expectations are low.

I really love this mental health text book due to the fact that it is easy to read. One of the things I noticed about a lot nursing text books is that they are very wordy and have a lot of fluff. This book doesn’t. It gets straight to the point. The information is explained very well and has question at the end of the chapter to help see if you got what you need out of the chapter. This book was required for my mental health class and I’m glad because this is an excellent book.
