Okay, but not, imho, as accurate nor as engaging as other books. Try Ultrametabolism instead.

This book spends a great deal of time discussing the use of prescription medications in an effort to help control heart disease.
If you are looking for a drug free approach to heart disease, as well as diabetes and other health related issues, then consider reading The Rosedale Diet by Ron Rosedale MD.

I purchased this book for a friend who had bypass surgery. I had previously read South Beach Diet and tried it out. I thought it was extremely informative and sensible. It definitely improved my weight and my overall health. I hope this book will help my friend make some needed changes in his diet and life style.

I thought it fell short in providing “do’s and dont’s” for the diet. It was a wealth of information on the diagnosis and treatment of heart desease. I was looking for step by step instructions on how to follow the diet, I did not get much information at all on the subject.
